about
Life’s full of temporary things
Come on to her or him, there’s no strings
Time is engraving, it tries out on my face
But I will never give up the chase
Let’s play the perfect D
One chord, two chord, jazz is three
Let’s play the perfect D
The backbone of my next lp
Surf is up in waves of fear
But ooh mama, ooh, my week beats your year
I wanna hear those machines sing
Spiralling out the amine ring
Let’s play the perfect D
One chord, two chord, jazz is three
You don’t even need a key
You don’t even need a key
This Metal Machine
All the generators that have ever been
Hummin’ in their substations
The midnight rumble of transformations
Life’s full of temporary things
Come on to her or him, there’s no strings
Because it’s 1978
The only strings that matter are the ones that vibrate
Let’s play the perfect D
One chord, two chord, maybe three
But three is jazz or say you say
Come on, Lou, let’s take it away
Walk it home…

Most of these songs were available on the 1995 "Yes darling, but is it Art?" CD release. I'm assuming the masters are gone, which is fine if you do a good transfer from the original records. When I saw these were remastered, I was looking forward to some light de-clicking and removal of rumble from the original transfers. This isn't the case. Instead they added some weird super loud "tape hiss" for lack of a better term, and it makes it sound harsh. Very disappointed in the "remastering". numanoid1979
